"What lies beyond the horizon?..." She sat on the rustic swing, gazing out at the vastness of the ocean, the same thought in her mind. She closed her eyes, wondering what secrets lay hidden out there. She knew the earth curved at the edges where the sun sank. For as long as she could remember, the idea of chasing what lay beyond thrilled her, yet filled her with a quiet terror. They said the horizon expands and retreats the more you try to reach it. She never grasped how something could grow further away the closer you got. She knew people had set sail before—for the furthest reaches, for a new world... But she also knew none had ever returned. She opened her eyes, swaying gently back and forth over the pebbled shore. The breeze caressed her face, playfully tangling her curly hair, waves of curls as captivating as the seascape before her. She stood up to swim, plunging into the crystalline water, swimming alongside fish and exploring the hidden world below. With every stroke, her yearning to reach the horizon grew—if the ocean kept that many beauties so close underneath, what gorgeous wonders would the horizon keep beyond? Emerging from the sea, she settled back onto the swing. Yet, as the droplets trailed down her sun-kissed skin, her desires seemed to evaporate, replaced once more by the chilling breath of fear. Tucking her book into her floral tote, she prepared to leave. She squeezed her eyes shut one last time as the breeze dried her skin. Suddenly, a familiar voice whispered to her ear: "Let's go..." She stole a fleeting glance at the horizon before leaning into his touch, feeling his fingers get lost in her wind-swept curls. "Those missing parts from your book... you've always wanted to write them," he murmured, his arm wrapping warmly around her waist. "Let's write them out there. I fear too, but I will hold your hand." A soft smile graced her lips. She dreamt of two swallows dancing toward the horizon. She squeezed his hand tightly, and as she did, felt her anxieties dissolve like mist in the morning sun. Two swallows darted past the swing, dancing and circling one another in the endless sky. They flew off to write their own story...
